- If I understand you question correctly, this is a phone system issue
- rather than a modem issue. If the "multi line phone system at work"
- provides analog dial tone to its extensions (some do, others do not) you
- can simply connect a modem as one of the extensions, dial the appropriate
- code for an outside line and you're communicating. Phone systems which
- do not provide analog dial tone to their extensions can usually do this
- by adding options.
